1. Public Trip Safety Measures

Stoke Bruerne Boat Company has put measures in place to protect passengers and crew members against the risk of transmission of the Coronavirus. Set out below are these measures. We ask that before visiting you read these carefully and fully. The measures implemented are in accordance with the following publications relating to our sector and operation: ‘Coronavirus (COVID-19): safer transport guidance for operators’, ‘Working safely during coronavirus (COVID-19): the visitor economy’ and British Marine’s ‘COVID-19 Control on Passenger Vessel Operations’.

SOCIAL DISTANCING

Social distancing measures are in place across Stoke Bruerne Boat Company’s operation. The queuing area has been redesigned to ensure a distance of 2 metres between groups* and does not block walkways. The queue is limited to three groups at a time which are required to stand within the three clearly marked boxes. If the queue is full, we ask that you do not stand near the queue and only entre when there is room. There are now markers on the seats aboard the boat – these markers are there to ensure social distancing can be maintained during a trip. We ask that you and your group remain in your designated seating area and that there are four empty boxes between groups.

Fares will be collected whilst you are queuing before we direct you to the boat. It is requested that only one payment is to be made by each individual group and that the payment is contactless.

*In line with the Government guidance, a group is to be no more than 6 people in total and from no more than 2 households.

HAND SANITISING

There is a hand sanitising station as you enter the boat, you are required to sanitise before boarding and after disembarking. Staff members will be sanitising prior to and after contact with people and items.

FACE COVERINGS

Due to the size of the vessel, it is compulsory for you to wear a face covering aboard the boat, in order to reduce the risk of spreading the virus. It is strongly advised that children under 11 years old wear a face covering aboard the boat, however, for health and safety reasons we do not recommend children under the age of three wear a face covering.

CONTACT DETAILS

We are required to take the contact details of a nominated member of each group. This is required to support the NHS Test and Trace. We will require your name and a contact telephone number, and these details will be kept for 21 days before being securely destroyed.

In order to assist Test and Trace, we ask that you contact us if you or a member of your group develop Coronavirus symptoms within 21 days of attending one of our trips on 07966 503 609. We will then notify those who have also travelled with us and advise them to self-isolate in line with the Government guidance.

ADDITIONAL CLEANING

Our already high cleaning standards will be enhanced by a cleaning programme designed to clean and sanitise the high touch points within the vessel at the end of every trip.

TRAINING AND PPE

All employees have received specific COVID-19 training and PPE will be provided to employees where the risk assessment has deemed it necessary, in line with government requirements.
